The bed was comfortable. The architecture was perfectly “old world”. The check-in staff were polite and efficient. The gift shop is fabulous with objets d’art ranging from 10€ to 62K €. The restaurant evening meal was delicious though a bit slowly paced at 2 1/2 hours for 3 courses.

The hotel is well situated. We were very pleased with the parking arrangements. We were given an upgrade by the very pleasant reception staff and had an excellent room. We had a good dinner even though it was a little expensive. After dinner we sat and listened to an excellent concert pianist. It was so civilised. Good breakfast.

Great location, excellent service, beautifully renovated historical building and very spacious elegant rooms with view to the woods. The hotel has both an outdoor pool and a heated indoor pool. For the indoor one you will have to book a slot, as the pool is rather small. Our kids loved it all the same. The spa has a great wet and dry sauna. Message costs approximately 50-40€ but we didn't have a chance to try it. Staff was super nice and helpful - made our stay! Would love to come back again.

I stayed in the 'Mezzanine Suite' and traveled with my family, my wife and our two children aged 1 and 2. I asked the front office manager at reception if it would be possible to check in earlier and, even though the hotel was almost fully booked, they were extremely kind and flexible, allowing us to check in early, which greatly contributed to the comfort of our trip. My thanks to the hotel staff for that.

The breakfast was excellent with a great choice of food and drink. I particularly liked the yoghurt being served in a large bowl, rather than small pots, butter twirls rather than small containers and milk in bottles. The hot buffet was very good.

Charming historical building mixed with modern design. Gym and spa were great too, and the hotel has a beautiful art gallery and lounge space with a piano. Hotel was kind to let us play the piano too! Room was big, comfortable and clean.

This hotel is very spacious and in a beautifully restored building, close to the centre of Viseu The staff were friendly and efficient The room was clean and the bed very comfortable The restaurant food was good, as was the breakfast The bathroom was well equipped but would benefit from better lighting

We happened to arrive the day of the Spain/Portugal electrical blackout and the hotel had generator power, so although the stores and restaurants were closed, our dinner reservations (excellent dinner and service) saved the day. Very beautiful facility with a huge covered open seating area in what must have been a courtyard.
